Solar System Missions update 2023-09

Here's my map of all active and planned Solar System Missions and their destinations as of September 1st 2023.

The ISROs Chandrayaan 3 lunar lander Vikram has landed on the Moon and deployed the Pragyan rover. Both are build to last only one lunar day, so they will already be over this month. Two more missions will likely launch in September: The Japanese SLIM (Smart Lander for Investigating Moon) lunar lander mission together with the XRISM X-ray telescope, and the Indian Aditya-L1 solar observatory.

Parker Solar Probe will do its 17th perihelion at 0.0528 AU or 7.9 million kilometer distance, meanwhile Juno/a> has its 54th perijove at Jupiter. And OSIRIS-REx returns asteroid samples to Earth!

Data, images and documentation are available on my space exploration history GitHub repository and the associated website.
