Here's my map of all active and future Solar System Missions as of January 1st 2022.
In last years first update I looked forward to 9 announced beyond-Earth launches. We ended up with 3 that actually happend: DART, Lucy and Webb. But that also means all those other mission were delayed to *this* year, so together with the mission launches planned for this year we have 18 anounced beyond-Earth launches in 2022! Only in 1969 were there more launch attempts with 20, but of those 10 failed and never got beyond Earth orbit, so we could see a record number of succesfull interplanetary mission starts. That is, if there are no delays this year, which is pretty unlikely, but here are all the planned missions:
CommerciƔl Lunar payload (CLPS) landers: Peregrine, NOVA-C, Prime-1, Viper
Other Moon landers: Luna 25 (Russia), Chandayaan 3 (India) , Hakuto-R1, SLIM (both Japan)
and orbiters: CAPSTONE (USA), DOGE-1 (USA), KPLO (South Korea)
Artemis 1 uncrewed Lunar mission test with 13 more cubesats
Aditya L1 solar observatory (India) to Earth/Sun L1
Psyche asteroid orbiter (USA) to (16) Psyche
ExoMars 2022 Mars lander (Europe, Russia)
JUICE Jupiter/Ganymede orbiter (Europe)
Meanwhile, Juno will have its 39th perijove on the tenth, and the Webb telescope will arrive at the Earth/Sun L2 Lagrange point at the end of the month.
