Solar System Missions Update 2021-11

Here's my map of all active and future Solar System Missions as of November 1st 2021.

This Month' chart has a new entrant in space: Lucy! Launched october 16 from Cape Canaveral, it will travel to Jupiters trojansnafter another two visits to Earth in 2022 and 2024. If all goes as planned we will have another mission spaceborne at the end of the month, the Dart planetary defense probe which will not just travel to asteroid Didimos, but hit its moon Dimorphos!

Solar Orbiter will also visit its former home on an Earth flyby on the 26th. Juno has the 38th perijove on the 28th, and Parker Solar Probes perihelion #10 on the 21st, at a distance of 0.0615 AU or 9.2 million kilometers, its closest approach so far.

Data, images and documentation are available on my space exploration history GitHub repository and the associated website.
