Solar System Missions Update 12/2018

Here's my map of all active and future Solar System Missions as of December 1st 2018.

So last month Dawn held out just long enough to make it onto the map at publication time, even though it ended on October 31, one day before the day the map says it shows. Anyway, now it is over, and what a great mission it was! Read everything about it in the fabulous Dawn Journal.

This month InSIGHT will become active on Mars, and the first ever Cubesat Mars-flyby of MarCO probes, OSIRIS-REx will arrive at Asteroid Bennu, and the Chang'e 4 mission will likely perform the first ever soft landing on the lunar far side. Hayabusa 2 at Asteroid Ryugu is in Solar conjunction and will be silent for a while.

And still #WakeUpOppy #SaveOppy, pretty please!

Data, images and documentation are available on my space exploration history GitHub repository and the associated website.
